Discover Your Skin

The skin that you live in is your largest, most visible organ. It gives your brains a wealth-of- information through the sense of touch. It’s your gateway to feel, sense, perceive and experience. Your skin is truly amazing!

Even more amazing is the ability of your skin to produce new skin cells every 3 to 4 weeks.[1]

But when you are diagnosed with Psoriasis, the process of new skin cell formation and replacement is much quicker and occurs within 3 to 7 days. The reason for Psoriasis can be attributed to a dysfunctional immune system.[1]

This causes the new cells to pile up on the surface of the skin resulting in the red, flaky, crusty patches, itchy skin or silvery scales that are identified as ‘Psoriatic Lesions or plaques’.[1]

Did You Know?

New skin cells are normally produced in the lowest layer of your skin. These gradually move up through the skin layers, towards the surface, till they reach the outermost layer, where they replace the old skin cells.[1]

A skin doctor or Dermatologist will be able to help you identify your symptoms and prescribe the right Psoriasis medicine for you.
